Hey Fellow Mom

I’m Dajana (pronounced Diana)

If you ask me what I do I would tell you that I’m here to make your parenting experience feel delightful, but what I really want to say is:

I give parents the strategies and tools so they can develop the skills to create a respectful, peaceful and loving relationship with their child, from how to communicate and help your children, to how to have self-compassion so you can be your best self when your child needs you!

My goal is to give you everything you need to create a harmonious and strong relationship with your child, so they can feel loved, supported and safe to grow and thrive.

My fancy title is: Peaceful Parenting Coach, and there’s no other thing I’d rather do than helping one mom (and/or dad) at a time to improve her relationship with her child.

I’m married to a wonderful man and I am a mom to three kids, 2 boys ages 11 and 7, and a 4 year old girl, so I understand both the beauty and the messes!

When I'm not coaching clients, you can find me wandering around outdoors with my kids, exploring and engaging with nature with my boys, and stopping to pick pretty wild flowers with my daughter!

Daily meditation and journaling nourish my inner state and allow me to connect to the power of the present moment. And when nobody is looking I enjoy sneaking German chocolate in the pantry, but that’s our secret, don’t tell my kids.

See you on the other side!

What is Peaceful Parenting?

Peaceful Parenting is a relationship-based parenting approach founded by Dr. Laura Markham, Clinical Psychologist and Parenting Coach at AhaParenting.com. This parenting approach is supported by scientific- research to raise more resilient children who develop emotional-intelligence and a healthy sense of well-being and don't have to recover from their childhood.

The 3 Tools of Peaceful Parenting

1. How You Respond to Your Child

The first step to effective parenting is regulating your own mood and behavior! How's your mood today? How do you talk to yourself when you make a mistake? You are role modeling how to stay calm and respectful to your child. Your responses to your child directly shape your child's brain and their behavior as a result.

2. Connection Before Redirection

The only reason your child is willing to cooperate with you is if they feel connected to you! Connection is the part where you "delight" in your child so they feel safe and can learn your lessons. Join them in their world first before correcting or making a request!

3. Coach Instead of Control

The first step to effective parenting is regulating your own mood and behavior! How's your mood today? How do you talk to yourself when you make a mistake? You are role modeling how to stay calm and respectful to your child. Your responses to your child directly shape your child's brain and their behavior as a result.

Cultivate a parenting style that is both gentle and firm, eliminate battles over control, and remain confidently in charge with a loving attitude.
