Set Compassionate Limits
We often rush to set a limit, teach a skill, or stop a behavior. Our goals are usually to connect and set compassionate limits our kids will respect. But when faced with refusals and denials like:
"It's mine. I want it!" "Why doesn't my brother have to do that?" "I don't want to practice." "I already did my homework."
We can let things spiral until our sense of leadership is threatened. This creates a wall of misunderstanding and unmet needs.
But kids need more than directions about their behavior. They need our inner guidance before they can control their outer behaviors. Learn to be a nonjudgmental presence and create supportive and compassionate boundaries - and your influence will soar!
Easier said than done, I know!! But this class + workbook will outline 3 steps to move beyond conflict and communicate with compassion.
